Overview

AMN Healthcare is seeking an Academic Nocturnist to join a collaborative hospitalist team in Winston Salem, North Carolina. This role focuses on patient care, teaching, and professional growth within a supportive environment that values education and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as part of a collaborative hospitalist team
  • Participate in teaching teams, rounding, admissions, consult service, and Intermediate Care Unit
  • Engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and Internal Medicine residents
  • Contribute to quality improvement, systems-based innovation, and clinical research
  • Advance personal academic interests and participate in institutional initiatives

Required skills

  • MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Interest and passion for teaching and education
  • Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
  • Experience in patient care
