Overview

The 4-H Data Systems Analyst 3 position at the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources involves managing and developing the statewide 4-H enrollment and reporting system. This role focuses on utilizing advanced analytical concepts and database integration principles to improve system efficiency, data integrity, and compliance within the CA 4-H Youth Development Program.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and management of the statewide 4-H enrollment database and related systems.
  • Design and implement system features, integrations, and workflows.
  • Develop methodologies for extracting, validating, and reporting data.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to vendors and developers.
  • Ensure application of data governance and quality assurance practices.
  • Design advanced reporting dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Conduct complex analyses of program participation and system usage.
  • Assist in the development of statewide training programs and communication strategies.
  • Deliver advanced training for 4-H data system users.
  • Provide support for additional online 4-H systems and advise on integration opportunities.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and extensive experience in data systems management
  • Expertise in database design, system implementation, and data security
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Zoom, Google Workspace, and Box
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and system development projects
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
