Overview

The 2nd Shift Shop Supervisor at Steel Point Opportunities is responsible for overseeing the inspection, repair, and reassembly of turbomachinery and ensuring efficient material movements in the shop. The role involves leading a team, maintaining safety protocols, and handling equipment logistics while supporting quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide hand-over notes to 1st shift regarding status and issues
  • Guide disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of turbomachinery
  • Ensure shipments and deliveries are made without issue
  • Inspect and record measurements using precision measuring instruments
  • Coordinate material movements between work areas and shipping/receiving
  • Notify leadership of non-conformities and drive resolution
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety policies
  • Lead efforts to keep the work area clean and organized
