Overview

Whetstone Academy is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to join their dynamic and supportive environment focused on the growth of students. The role involves providing mentorship and guidance to empower youth to reach their full potential over a part-time, three-day work week from Friday to Sunday.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring to students
  • Offer academic support and study skills assistance
  • Guide students in developing social skills and emotional intelligence
  • Help students set and achieve personal goals
  • Establish strong, trusting relationships with students
  • Create a safe and supportive environment for student interaction
  • Assist in planning and implementing enrichment activities
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff
  • Document student interactions and progress
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions
