Overview

Lutheran Services Florida is seeking a Youth Care Specialist for a part-time role, responsible for supervising youth ages 10-17 and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. In this direct service position, the specialist will act as a role model, helping residents pursue educational growth and life skills while participating in their daily activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise youth residents and ensure their safety and security
  • Transport and accompany youth during outside activities
  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of client case plans
  • Maintain the facility and ensure 24-hour direct care staff coverage
  • Conduct initial client intakes and administer satisfaction surveys
  • Prepare meals and oversee completion of chores by youth
  • Maintain reports in coordination with the Program Manager
  • Identify safety and security hazards and report recommendations
