Overview

TruckPro LLC is looking for a 310T Working Shop Foreman to oversee daily operations in their heavy-duty repair shop. This role involves managing work efficiency and safety while ensuring the service of various truck and trailer makes and models. The successful candidate will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus and will work to maximize shop efficiency and mentor junior technicians.

Key responsibilities

  • Triaging incoming trucks to determine severity of breakdowns
  • Working on the tools during peak hours and answering technical questions for mechanics
  • Managing diverse workloads of different truck and trailer makes, models, and engines
  • Managing shop supplies and equipment maintenance
  • Assigning repair jobs based on mechanics' skill sets and workloads
  • Assisting with complex vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Ensuring safety regulations and quality control checks are completed
  • Mentoring junior technicians and conducting performance coaching

Required skills

  • 310T certification
  • One year of shop foreman experience in the heavy-duty industry
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs
  • Possession of own tools or willingness to purchase tools
  • Valid G class driver license with good driving record
  • D class with Z endorsement is an asset
  • Team management and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of safety compliance and mechanical troubleshooting
