Job Description

Overview

TruckPro LLC is seeking a 310T Working Shop Foreman for their heavy-duty repair shop in Ayr, Ontario. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring efficient and safe work practices while mentoring junior technicians and diagnosing vehicle issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Triaging incoming trucks to assess breakdown severity
  • Working on tools during peak hours and answering technical questions
  • Managing diverse workload of trucks, trailers, makes, models, and engine types
  • Managing shop supplies, diagnostic software subscriptions, and equipment maintenance
  • Assigning repair jobs based on mechanics' skills and workloads
  • Assisting with complex vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Ensuring safety regulations and quality control checks are followed
  • Mentoring junior technicians and conducting performance coaching

Required skills

  • One year of SHOP FOREMAN experience in the heavy-duty industry
  • 310T certification
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs
  • Possession of own tools or willingness to purchase required tools
  • Valid G class driver license with good driving record
  • A D class with Z endorsement is an asset
  • Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical troubleshooting abilities
