Overview

Pacific Life is seeking a skilled Workforce Benefits Sales Consultant to support the growth of Broker Distribution within its Workforce Benefits organization. This role, designed for someone based in the Maryland or DC marketplace, focuses on building relationships, executing broker-specific strategies, and driving sales growth to achieve established metrics. The position is 100% remote with travel requirements, and the consultant will play a key part in the startup and long-term success of a $1B revenue business in the Workforce Benefits market.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the creation and execution of a strategy for Broker Distribution to meet sales and profitability objectives.
  • Meet annual sales goals as established by the RSM of Broker Distribution.
  • Partner with Workforce Benefits Distribution resources to convey the Pacific Life value proposition to brokers.
  • Strengthen and grow broker relationships through regular meetings and engagements.
  • Drive a pipeline of requests for proposals (RFPs) monthly.
  • Maintain strong connections with internal teams for aligned deliverables.
  • Utilize innovative approaches for achieving robust growth objectives.
  • Participate in industry activities to stay informed on trends.

Required skills

  • 5+ years' experience in group benefits sales.
  • Established presence in the broker marketplace.
  • College degree in business management, finance, or risk management, or equivalent experience.
  • Analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset for innovative idea development.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
