Job Description

Overview

Pacific Life is seeking a Workforce Benefits Sales Consultant to support the growth of the Broker Distribution within their Workforce Benefits organization. This remote position, ideal for candidates based in Maryland or DC, plays a crucial role in establishing a profitable $1B revenue business by building relationships and driving sales goals in the broker market.

Key responsibilities

  • Support creation and execution of Broker Distribution strategy to meet sales, retention, and profitability objectives
  • Meet annual sales goals as established by the RSM of Broker Distribution
  • Partner with Workforce Benefits resources to deliver the value proposition to brokers
  • Strengthen and grow broker relationships through regular meetings
  • Drive a pipeline of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) monthly
  • Ensure alignment with underwriting, product, and pricing teams
  • Participate in industry and community activities to stay updated on trends
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in group benefits sales
  • Established presence in the broker marketplace
  • College degree in business management, finance, or risk management or equivalent experience
  • Analytical skills to support decision-making and strategic alignment
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to innovation
  • Strong integrity and transparency in conduct
  • Self-awareness and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders
