Overview

The Workers' Compensation Attorney at the Law Offices of Bob Nehoray is responsible for managing and resolving workers' compensation cases for clients who have been injured. This role requires collaboration with Case Managers and support staff to ensure efficient case progression and high-quality client representation in a structured legal environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Evaluate new and existing workers' compensation cases for legal merit and strategy
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions
  • Prepare and file legal pleadings, motions, and settlement documents
  • Conduct settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
  • Provide guidance to Case Managers on legal matters
  • Review complex cases requiring attorney-level decision-making
  • Perform legal research to support case strategies
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the case management system
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional regulations
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve legal workflows

Required skills

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California
  • One or more years of workers' compensation experience
  • Strong legal analysis and strategic decision-making
  • Effective oral advocacy and legal drafting skills
  • Negotiation and settlement skills
  • Clear communication with clients and internal teams
  • Strong time management and ability to handle a high-volume caseload
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation statutes and regulations
  • Experience in a structured legal environment is preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
