Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Wood Products Maintenance Technician in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of a planer machine, performing both minor repairs and preventive maintenance while adhering to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures
  • Perform critical measurements using a caliper
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the planer machine
  • Feed the planer to ensure a constant lumber flow
  • Perform routine maintenance and lubrication on machines
  • Change knives and assist with major repairs as directed
  • Conduct housekeeping tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training and perform millwright duties

Required skills
