Overview

West Fraser is seeking a Wood Products Maintenance Technician for their facility in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The role involves maintaining planer machines, performing preventive and minor repairs, and ensuring product quality in lumber processing operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures
  • Perform critical measurements using a caliper
  • Set, monitor, and maintain the planer machine
  • Feed the planer and ensure constant lumber flow
  • Assist maintenance in major repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance and lubrication on machines
  • Change knives on the planer
  • Maintain housekeeping as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete West Fraser Qualified Millwright training and competency checklist
