Job Description

Overview

JARP Industries Inc is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for their 2nd shift operations in Schofield, Wisconsin. The role involves setting up and tack welding various metals to create sub-assemblies for cylinders and swivels while adhering to Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS). Candidates will need to demonstrate their welding skills through a practical test.

Key responsibilities

  • Repair weld flaws/leakers from assembly
  • Tack and weld parts according to appropriate weld procedures
  • Clean and inspect finished sub-assemblies
  • Store finished sub-assemblies and unused parts properly
  • Read and interpret shop routings and prints
  • Set up jobs per appropriate weld procedures using fixtures and jigs
  • Perform first part piece inspections
  • Conduct general maintenance on welding equipment
  • Return tools and fixtures to proper locations once jobs are complete

Required skills

  • Welding experience in flux core, sub-arc, and MIG
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in Welding or equivalent experience
