Job Description

Overview

Calgon Carbon Corporation is seeking a Welder II for their Equipment & Assembly Plant in Pittsburgh, PA. The successful candidate will play a key role in welding various piping systems and structural components while adhering to safety and quality procedures in a clean and safe shop environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform tack welding and finish welding of piping systems using SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and safety policies.
  • Inspect own work to ensure compliance with drawings and welding procedures.
  • Assist with incoming parts inspection and final product inspection.
  • Complete ASME code weld log documentation daily.
  • Operate fork trucks, jib cranes, and overhead cranes.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or GED required, associate degree preferred.
  • Prior ASME welding certification required.
  • 2-3 years of welding experience required.
  • Experience with ASME code welding preferred.
  • Welding procedures: SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW.
  • Material handling and movement experience.
