Overview

Metalcraft of Mayville is seeking welders for its Beaver Dam facility. The role involves operating weld machines to fabricate metal parts and assemblies, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. The positions require a commitment to mandatory overtime and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow WPS weld standards
  • Inspect and measure machined work pieces for conformance
  • Adjust machine controls for operation
  • Unload welded parts from robotic welder
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and aluminum welding techniques
  • Examine finished work for compliance with specifications
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain a clean work area and adhere to safety regulations
  • Complete other assigned duties

Required skills

  • Experience in manual and robotic welding
  • Completion of internal welding test
  • Knowledge of welding fixtures and setup parameters
  • Basic computer skills for job functions
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
  • Detail orientation and self-motivation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Competence in basic dimensional measuring
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Experience with overhead crane use
