Overview

The Welder position at Corporate Coverage Company involves performing MIG and Stick welding and metal fabrication in a recycling facility. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and productivity, as well as the maintenance and repair of various containers and truck bodies.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity in the welding/fabrication area
  • Perform MIG and Stick welding and operate torch and rosebud
  • Oversee repairs of containers and truck bodies
  • Follow work orders, shop drawings, and verify material accuracy
  • Prepare necessary paperwork for order completion
  • Order and maintain welding supplies
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Interpret drawings and layouts
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures
  • Stack and pack materials for shipping
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Experience with MIG and Stick welding processes
  • TIG and/or spot-welding experience
  • Certification as a Welder & Metal Fabricator is a plus
  • Capability to set up machines with correct wire speed and gas flow
  • Ability to operate shop tools and equipment safely
  • Physical capability to lift materials up to 50 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of welding experience preferred
