Overview

The Middlesex Corporation, a leader in the heavy civil construction industry, is seeking a Welder in Kittery, Maine. The role involves performing welding projects under general supervision, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality in accordance with the company's core values.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with all Safety policies and procedures
  • Weld structural members following blueprints and work orders
  • Identify and prepare materials for structural welding
  • Utilize various welding tools and machines
  • Troubleshoot and identify issues based on blueprints
  • Conduct initial QA/QC checks on finished work
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop
  • Manage stock and re-order levels

Required skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural welding
  • Proficient in cutting torch and plasma arc operation
  • Experience working off lifts or staging
  • Rigging experience (a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
