The Weighmaster tallies quarry products by and from workers, for production control purposes, and dispatches materials on a day-to-day basis.The ideal candidate is flexible, detail oriented, with strong business acumen, problem solving, and customer service skills. Keeps track of material totals to different jobs. Computes and records totals of tallied figures. Examines and sorts items tallied. Moves tallied items to storage, shipping, or production areas. Takes orders from contractors and private customers for crushed stone. Dispatches truck to job sites. Communicates with material suppliers, laborers, operators, and supervisors with job concerns. Provides excellent customer service with a positive attitude to both internal and external customers. Keeps track of traffic and weather conditions affecting schedules. Monitors petty cash. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills, Education, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR a month of related experience and/or training Equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) Reliable transportation to travel to regional quarries Valid Driver License and good driving record Able to work a flexible work schedule Attention to detail Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience State Weighmaster's license Previous scalehouse experience OSHA, MSHA, or other relevant safety certifications Physical Demands Regularly required to s it and occasionally stand and walk OR stand and walk with occasional sitting, dependent on specific job site Regularly use hands to finger, handle, feel Reach with hands and arms Talk and hear Occasionally lift and/or move up to 5 pounds Vision abilities include Close Peripheral Ability to adjust focus Work Environment Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles Noise level is usually moderate The H&K Group, Inc. provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value.
