Overview

The Wealth Advisor at Midland States Bank is responsible for providing investment recommendations and advice while building and maintaining relationships with clients. This role focuses on helping clients identify their financial needs and objectives, offering tailored plans and products to achieve their goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Market financial planning, trust, and investment management services to high value prospects and clients
  • Conduct full needs assessments with current and potential customers
  • Recommend appropriate products and services based on client objectives and needs
  • Identify and refer business to other areas within the Bank
  • Maintain ongoing contact with clients and referral sources to identify additional sales opportunities
  • Represent the Bank in community organizations to enhance its image
  • Develop and maintain a referral network for additional sales opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and complete sales activity documentation

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CFP preferred
  • 5-10 years experience in financial services
  • Knowledge of financial and estate planning techniques
  • Sales-oriented personality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
