Overview

The Wealth Advisor at Midland States Bank is responsible for providing investment recommendations and advice to clients, helping them identify their financial needs and recommending suitable plans and products. This role includes developing and maintaining client relationships, conducting needs assessments, and marketing financial planning and investment management services.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively calls on high value prospects and clients to market financial services
  • Conducts needs assessments for current and potential customers
  • Recommends products and services based on clients' financial objectives
  • Maintains contact with existing clients to identify new sales opportunities
  • Represents the Bank in community organizations to enhance its image
  • Develops and maintains a referral network for additional sales opportunities
  • Adheres to compliance and operational risk controls
  • Completes sales activity documentation for performance tracking

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • CFP preferred
  • 5-10 years of experience in financial services
  • Knowledge of financial and estate planning techniques
  • Strong sales orientation and persuasive communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to meet time constraints without constant supervision
