Overview

Jobot is looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to support complex infrastructure projects focused on public utilities and community initiatives. This role will involve technical leadership and project oversight, requiring a strong foundation in engineering principles, particularly within water and wastewater systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage water and wastewater engineering projects from planning through execution
  • Ensure compliance with treatment processes, hydraulic principles, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with clients to maintain long-term professional relationships
  • Assess engineering challenges and apply established methodologies
  • Work across teams and locations to balance technical and interpersonal communication
  • Engage in business development activities within the water or wastewater sector

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in water or wastewater engineering
  • Strong understanding of treatment processes and hydraulic principles
  • Working knowledge of structural design fundamentals and applicable codes
  • Proficiency in CAD software and common engineering tools
  • Ability to independently evaluate engineering challenges
  • Experience in client-facing roles
  • Participation in technical committees or professional associations is preferred
