Overview

The Water/Wastewater Consultant at Communities Unlimited, Inc. will provide onsite technical assistance and training to rural community infrastructure systems facing water or waste disposal challenges. This role entails project planning, financing, and utility management, serving communities primarily in the Woodward, OK area, while offering remote work flexibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical assistance to 15-20 rural communities and small water/wastewater systems.
  • Develop, prepare, and submit timely reports and project documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and grant/contract requirements.
  • Manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences, social sciences, management, public administration, or related field, or cu
  • 1 year experience (2 for certification holders) in community environmental management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project management and self-directed time management.
  • Understanding of financial statements and project budgeting.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work products.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
