Job Description

Overview

The H&K Group is seeking a Water Truck Driver/Laborer for their Hilltop Quarry in Dalton, Pennsylvania. This role involves operating a water truck for dust suppression and supporting quarry production while maintaining a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform operations according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the truck and fill out daily inspection sheets
  • Drive safely and efficiently to meet production goals
  • Inspect roadways to determine dust suppression needs
  • Perform routine maintenance on the truck, including lubrication and cleaning
  • Water roads to control dust
  • Maintain general clean-up around the plant
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent or related experience/training
  • Driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Mathematical skills
  • Ability to utilize appropriate PPE and meet physical requirements
  • Safety certifications from OSHA, MSHA preferred
  • Previous experience in surface mining, construction materials, or heavy civil construction preferred
