Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a skilled Waste Treatment Engineer to manage the design of waste treatment systems for large-scale semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves overseeing third-party design firms to ensure that systems comply with environmental regulations and safety standards, requiring a blend of technical expertise in waste treatment, project management, and collaboration with diverse teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems.
  • Review and validate design work, including P&IDs and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of designs for treatment efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with external teams to align designs with facility requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on designs.
  • Ensure design integration with facility systems using BIM tools.
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or chemical engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in wastewater or waste treatment design
  • Knowledge of waste treatment systems and environmental regulations
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
  • Experience with control systems like PLC and SCADA
  • Familiarity with BIM tools for design coordination
