Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a skilled Waste Treatment Engineering Designer to oversee the design of waste treatment systems for high-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves managing external design firms and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms to develop waste treatment systems, including chemical neutralization and wastewater treatment.
  • Review and validate designs for compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of third-party designs to verify performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with external teams and internal stakeholders to align designs with project timelines.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on designs for regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure designs integrate with facility systems using BIM tools.
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in waste treatment system design.
  • Strong knowledge of waste treatment processes and relevant regulations.
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and BIM workflows.
