Overview

Micron Technology is looking for a Waste Treatment Engineering Designer to oversee the design of waste treatment systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves managing third-party design firms to ensure compliance with project specifications and environmental regulations while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems for hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Review and validate third-party design work for compliance with project requirements
  • Conduct technical evaluations of third-party designs for performance metrics
  • Collaborate with external design teams and internal stakeholders to align designs with facility requirements
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on third-party designs
  • Ensure integration of waste treatment designs with facility systems using BIM tools
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in wastewater, chemical, or solid waste treatment systems design
  • Strong knowledge of waste treatment system design and industry regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks for reviewing engineering deliverables
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and BIM workflows
