Job Description

Overview

Micron is seeking a Waste Treatment Engineering Designer to manage the external design of waste treatment systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves ensuring that waste management processes meet strict environmental regulations and safety standards while collaborating with various teams on design and implementation.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate with third-party design firms on waste treatment systems development.
  • Review and validate designs for compliance with project requirements and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of designs, ensuring performance metrics meet standards.
  • Collaborate with external teams and internal stakeholders to align waste treatment systems with facility requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on designs.
  • Integrate designs with other facility systems using BIM tools.
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in waste treatment system design and project management
  • Knowledge of waste treatment processes and regulatory standards (EPA, RCRA, Clean Water Act)
  • Proficiency in engineering deliverables review (P&IDs, 3D models) using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and control systems (PLC, SCADA)
