Overview

Micron is seeking a skilled Waste Treatment Engineer to oversee the design of waste treatment systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves managing the external design firms to ensure compliance with project specifications, environmental regulations, and safety standards, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems.
  • Review and validate third-party design work for compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of designs to verify performance metrics.
  • Work with external teams to align waste treatment system designs with project timelines.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on designs.
  • Ensure designs integrate with other facility systems using BIM tools.
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in designing wastewater, chemical, or solid waste treatment systems
  • Knowledge of waste treatment system design and industry standards (e.g., RCRA, Clean Water Act)
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and BIM workflows
