Overview

Micron is seeking a Waste Treatment Engineering Designer to manage the design of waste treatment systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves overseeing third-party design firms, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards, while delivering efficient waste management solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems.
  • Review and validate third-party design work for compliance with project requirements and standards.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of designs verifying treatment efficiency and safety.
  • Align waste treatment system designs with facility requirements and timelines.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on third-party designs.
  • Ensure designs integrate with other facility systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in wastewater, chemical, or solid waste treatment system design
  • Knowledge of waste treatment system design and industry regulations (EPA, RCRA, Clean Water Act)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks for reviewing engineering deliverables
  • Experience coordinating third-party designs for semiconductor or industrial facilities
  • Familiarity with BIM tools and design integration processes
  • Experience with control systems like PLC and SCADA
