Overview

Micron is seeking a Waste Treatment Design Engineer to manage the third-party design of waste treatment systems for large-scale semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards while coordinating the efforts of external design firms.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems.
  • Review and validate third-party design work, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of third-party designs, verifying performance metrics.
  • Align waste treatment system designs with facility requirements and project timelines.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on third-party designs.
  • Ensure designs integrate with other facility systems using Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
  • Coordinate implementation of safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
  • Lead design processes for wastewater, chemical, or solid waste treatment systems for 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of waste treatment system design and regulatory standards.
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
  • Experience with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and BIM workflows.
