Overview

Micron is seeking a Waste Treatment Design Engineer to oversee the design of waste treatment systems for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This role involves managing third-party design firms to ensure that systems for chemical, liquid, and solid waste management adhere to stringent specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate third-party design firms in developing waste treatment systems.
  • Review and validate third-party design work for compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of third-party designs and verify performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with external design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance and risk assessments on third-party designs.
  • Ensure integration of designs with other facility systems using BIM tools.
  • Implement safety and environmental protocols for waste treatment systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field
  • 2 years of experience designing wastewater, chemical, or solid waste treatment systems
  • Strong knowledge of waste treatment system design and regulatory standards
  • Proficiency in reviewing engineering deliverables using AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks
  • Familiarity with control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA) and BIM tools
