Overview

The Warehouse Manager at Rise Baking Company is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring the integrity of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role includes managing shipping and receiving operations, inventory levels, and leading warehouse employees to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee all warehouse operations and maintain material integrity
  • Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory levels
  • Monitor daily activities of warehouse employees
  • Implement documented procedures and best practices for warehouse management
  • Act as a liaison between manufacturing and customer service
  • Inspect warehouse conditions and manage maintenance needs
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets
  • Train and develop warehouse employees on processes and safety standards
  • Define and set performance metrics for warehouse functions

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a supply chain related discipline or 3 years of equivalent experience
  • APICS affiliation/certification desired
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Great Plains, Navision, SAP
  • Leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to work across departmental functions
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
