Overview

The Warehouse Associate at Tractor Supply Company is responsible for tasks related to receiving inventory, selecting merchandise for shipping, and loading trailers. The role demands adherence to company standards for accuracy, safety, security, and productivity, performed in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming shipments and direct merchandise to appropriate areas
  • Check inventory against bills of lading and packing slips
  • Take inventory of goods and maintain records
  • Identify, label, and palletize merchandise
  • Pick store supply orders and prepare them for shipment
  • Perform cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Move merchandise using hand trucks or forklifts
  • Ensure job assignments are completed accurately and free of damage
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Required skills

  • 0-2 years of experience in a distribution center
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to lift 50-75 pounds continuously
  • Basic English reading and comprehension
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledge of RF terminal and bar code scanners
  • Experience with various material handling equipment
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
