Overview

DREISILKER ELECTRIC MOTORS INC is seeking an experienced VP of Finance to oversee general accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is essential for maintaining strong relationships with clients and auditors while contributing to a family-oriented business environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including A/R, A/P, time billing, payroll, G/L, tax payments, and inventory control.
  • Assign and audit the work of the accounting staff, ensuring proper accounting systems and procedures.
  • Perform all basic accounting procedures, including financial statement preparation and month-end closing.
  • Act as the primary liaison with auditors for financial and 401K audits.
  • Communicate with customers regarding past-due invoices and provide updates to management.
  • Ensure all active projects are supported by valid contracts.
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Perform financial analysis of operations on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA is a plus)
  • 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in business software such as CRM systems, financial management tools, and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
