Overview

Home State Bank is seeking a VP - Commercial Banker in Crystal Lake, IL. This full-time role emphasizes portfolio management and relationship building with commercial clients to enhance profitability while minimizing risk. The successful candidate will leverage over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate and C&I lending to drive business development.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-level portfolio management
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships, primarily commercial
  • Increase the bank's profitability by cultivating new and nurturing existing business relationships
  • Negotiate loan structures and cross-sell cash management products
  • Maintain documented files and manage renewals and collection efforts
  • Build and maintain a professional network of COIs and referral sources

Required skills

  • 10+ years' experience in Commercial Real Estate and C&I Lending
  • Versed in SBA 7A and 504 Lending
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish client relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting
