Description: Position SummaryThis role combines Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) coordination with operational support duties. The VMI Coordinator is responsible for managing existing VMI customer accounts, supporting the expansion of VMI services, and providing logistical support including deliveries, order picking, and light assembly. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys variety in their work day and wants to grow with a growing industrial distribution company. Key ResponsibilitiesVMI Management (Primary Focus - 40% of time)Monitor and manage inventory levels for assigned VMI customer accountsConduct regular inventory counts and reconciliation for customer stock locationsAnalyze usage trends and recommend replenishment quantities to prevent stockoutsServe as the primary point of contact for VMI customers regarding inventory questions and concernsSupport the sales team in onboarding new VMI accountsMaintain accurate records of all VMI transactions and inventory movementsDelivery Driver ( 25% of time)Operate company vehicle to deliver products to customer locationsEnsure timely and safe deliveries while maintaining professional customer relationsLoad and unload delivery vehicles safelyPerform vehicle safety checks and report any maintenance needsOrder Picking & Packaging ( 20% of time)Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficientlyPrepare orders for shipment via UPS and other carriersMaintain organized warehouse and shipping areasEnsure order accuracy and quality control before shipmentHose Shop Assembly Support ( 15% of time)Assist hose shop technicians with assembly of hydraulic hose assembliesSupport inventory organization in the hose shop areaPerform basic quality checks on assembled products as needed Requirements: Required:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedlyStrong organizational and attention to detail skillsBasic computer proficiency (email, inventory software)Excellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyPreferred:1-2 years of experience in warehouse, delivery, or industrial distribution -Forklift certification or willingness to obtainExperience with VMI or inventory management systemsFamiliarity with hydraulic or industrial products Work Environment & Physical RequirementsWarehouse and field environmentsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and liftingExposure to industrial settings (noise, varying temperatures)Local driving required - typically within 50/mile radius PI2bc3e939114c-8397
