Overview

Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto is seeking a Virginia State Inspector and Emissions technician to perform state inspections and assist in various automotive services. This role offers an opportunity for career advancement alongside ASE certified technicians while ensuring high standards of vehicle safety and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete inspections on customer vehicles
  • Transport customers to and from their locations using company vehicle
  • Pickup parts and supplies from vendors and corporate office
  • Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections ethically
  • Perform tire mounting, balancing, rotation, and oil changes
  • Observe vehicle condition and report needed repairs to management
  • Document vehicle conditions using Multi-point Inspection or Repair Orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and service area
  • Follow all safety procedures and report concerns

Required skills

  • Current valid Virginia State Inspection Certification
  • Emissions Certification
  • Basic vehicle repair skills
