Overview

The Vice President of POM Technical Product Management will join BNY's Portal Platform team in New York, focusing on developing product vision and strategy, managing product development and prioritization, and driving product adoption. This leadership role requires collaboration with design and engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of products that meet customer needs within the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop product 'North Star' considering business needs and competitive landscape
  • Lead product development across multiple pods and prioritize backlog
  • Complete detailed requirements for design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Coordinate product roll-out with platform and partner releases
  • Maintain and improve products to ensure target adoption
  • Coach and develop Product Owners on product management best practices

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or related field
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management in financial services or fintech
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies, web and mobile applications, APIs, and data analytics
  • Exceptional user experience design focus
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
