Overview: The Vice President (VP), Environment, Health, Safety & Compliance ( EHS&C) is responsible for leading the Company's safety culture, risk management, fleet safety, environmental compliance, transportation compliance, security, and regulatory programs. This executive partners closely with Operations leadership to build a world-class safety culture, reduce risk, strengthen accountability, and improve operational performance across a geographically dispersed field organization. Success in this role requires a balance of strategic leadership, operational influence, regulatory expertise , and the ability to drive behavioral change at every level of the organization. The VP, EHS&C ensures that safety and operational excellence are integrated, visible, and measured through daily management practices, leadership routines, employee engagement, and data driven performance management. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Risk Management Develop and execute enterprise-wide EHS&C strategies that reduce risk, strengthen compliance, and support business objectives. Establish and communicate the vision and strategy for safety, health, environmental compliance, fleet safety, DOT compliance, security, and drug-free workplace programs. Lead enterprise crisis management, incident response, business continuity, and organizational risk management initiatives. Translate safety and compliance priorities into practical operational plans that improve performance across branches and regions. Safety Culture Transformation Lead the development of a proactive, accountability-based safety culture across all branches and operating regions. Partner with Operations leadership to make safety a visible component of daily management, leadership routines, and performance discussions. Drive employee engagement, coaching, recognition, hazard identification, and near-miss reporting initiatives that strengthen safety ownership at every level. Champion a culture where safety is integrated into operational excellence rather than treated as a stand-alone compliance function. Fleet Safety Excellence & Transportation Compliance Own enterprise fleet safety strategy across all company-operated vehicles and driver populations. Drive reductions in preventable accidents, distracted-driving events, backing incidents, injuries, and vehicle related risk. Oversee telematics, video safety systems, driver coaching, corrective action governance, DOT compliance, CSA scores, audits, and inspections. Partner with Operations, Fleet, HR, and Legal to establish best-in-class driver performance standards, accountability practices, and recognition programs. Safety Analytics & Performance Management Develop and manage enterprise safety scorecards using both leading and lagging indicators. Drive performance improvement through analysis of injuries, incidents, near misses, safety observations, coaching effectiveness, telematics data, audit results, and compliance trends.
