Overview

Hoosier Hills Credit Union is seeking a Vice President of Commercial Lending to provide leadership in advancing its commercial lending strategy. This role focuses on building relationships with business members, managing a commercial loan portfolio, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a member-centric environment and contribute to community engagement and business development.

Key responsibilities

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with Commercial Members
  • Manage a high-quality commercial loan portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and credit policies
  • Provide financial guidance and solutions to business owners
  • Identify and develop commercial relationships through proactive outreach
  • Conduct comprehensive loan interviews and credit analysis
  • Monitor portfolio performance and assess risk indicators
  • Represent HHCU through community involvement and networking
  • Support internal partners and improve processes

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field
  • Minimum five years of commercial lending experience
  • Proven network of business clients and prospects
  • Experience with SBA lending programs preferred
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Baker Hill preferred
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and credit risk
