Overview

As the Vice President Mortgage Specialist (VPMS) at BMO Financial, you will lead and inspire a team of Mortgage Specialists to achieve ambitious growth targets. You will be responsible for enhancing BMO's presence in the market, optimizing business opportunities, and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of Mortgage Specialists to deliver desired business results
  • Assess marketplace opportunities and develop plans to address strengths and weaknesses
  • Work with senior leaders to leverage sales opportunities and improve customer acquisitions
  • Develop and execute business plans to meet sales objectives
  • Act as a BMO representative in local community activities
  • Manage risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and communicate best practices across divisional leaders
  • Provide strategic input for business decisions
  • Lead change management programs and communication strategies
  • Engage with external partners to generate referrals

Required skills

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in banking and financial services
  • Post-secondary degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Expert knowledge of mortgage and credit portfolio management
  • Understanding of real estate and mortgage lending processes
  • Experience with change management and project management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Influence and collaboration skills across teams
  • Data-driven decision-making capabilities
