Job Description

Overview

The Vice President, Fiduciary role at BNY involves managing client relationships and ensuring adherence to fiduciary standards within the Wealth Management team. This position is pivotal in advising clients, understanding trust documents, and driving business growth while addressing risk management.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer and advise on fiduciary provisions and duties as trustee
  • Coordinate the strategic plan for managing and growing client relationships
  • Interpret governing trust documents and work with internal and external advisors
  • Meet with clients, co-trustees, and beneficiaries to uphold fiduciary standards
  • Assess and address risk-related issues in client relationships
  • Orchestrate administrative tasks through the Wealth Management team
  • Evaluate and pursue new business opportunities and client prospects
  • Serve in a consultative role to ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth clients
  • Generate new revenue from increased client flows and future fees
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients and ensure resource provision
  • Demonstrate business development orientation and achieve self-sourced asset goals
  • Work with teams on opportunities sourced from other functional members

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of fiduciary administration experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CTFA or CFP certification preferred
  • Knowledge of fiduciary practices, policies, and procedures
