Overview

The Vice President of the Carle Health Center for Philanthropy will lead a comprehensive, system-wide fundraising initiative to support the strategic growth and mission of Carle Health. This role involves operational leadership and strategic planning to enhance donor engagement while ensuring the sustainability of philanthropy within the healthcare system.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and lead comprehensive system-wide fundraising campaigns.
  • Align campaign priorities with system strategy and community health initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with major and principal gift prospects.
  • Execute a long-term philanthropic growth strategy across hospitals and service lines.
  • Provide oversight of foundation governance and financial stewardship.
  • Integrate auxiliary and volunteer services to enhance patient experience.
  • Serve as a senior advisor on philanthropic strategy to executive leadership.
  • Build and lead a high-performing philanthropy and volunteer services team.

Required skills

  • 10 years of healthcare philanthropy leadership or large-scale nonprofit fundraising experience.
  • Experience in leading comprehensive campaigns and securing major gifts.
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) or similar credential (preferred).
  • Proven governance and board partnership experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and campaign execution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
