Overview

As a Veterinary Nursing Trainer at VEG, you will play a vital role in developing and mentoring veterinary staff. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored training, assessing skill levels, and advancing the team's growth in emergency medicine. You will contribute to creating a supportive training environment that aligns with VEG's mission and culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to identify training needs
  • Assess assistants and credentialed technicians through observation
  • Drive advancement through VEG's Cultivate program
  • Implement VEG training programs and serve as training lead
  • Provide tailored, hands-on training for different learning styles
  • Organize peer training opportunities and build a mentoring culture
  • Collaborate with nursing managers and professional networks
  • Develop and refine training content such as presentations and assessments
  • Evaluate and improve training programs for assistants and technicians

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
  • Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT)
  • Knowledge and skill in emergency medicine
  • Previous training experience preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
