Job Description

Overview

Sunshine Disposal & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle/Equipment Service Technician for their Airway Heights and Spokane Valley locations. This full-time position involves conducting preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a modern fleet of vehicles, with a schedule primarily from Tuesday to Saturday.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on SDR trucks and equipment
  • Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance for road worthiness
  • Prepare and complete paperwork or data entry for service and repair work
  • Perform repair maintenance on trucks and equipment, including hydraulics and electrical systems
  • Conduct service on industrial and offroad equipment per manufacturer specifications
  • Perform general facility maintenance and inventory tasks
  • Attend scheduled safety, training, and company meetings

Required skills

  • Diesel Mechanic certification or 2 years of experience in a full-service Diesel repair shop
  • Valid USDOT medical Certificate required at hire
  • Ability to meet insurance company driving record requirements
  • Basic tools required at hire; specialty tools supplied by the company
  • Class A or B CDL preferred at hire and required within 2 years
