Job Description

Overview

The Gund Company is seeking a full-time Value Stream Manager for Composites to join their team in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This role focuses on overseeing the entire order fulfillment process, managing plant personnel, and ensuring the production operations within the value stream are efficient, safe, and aligned with customer delivery needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Establish clear expectations and provide feedback for productivity and quality goals
  • Maintain a culture of safety, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Set production line priorities and schedules to meet customer delivery needs
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels
  • Achieve manufacturing goals for quality, delivery reliability, and efficiency
  • Drive quality performance and lead corrective actions for nonconformances
  • Promote cross-functional collaboration with various departments
  • Train direct reports in lean problem-solving tools and kaizen methodologies
  • Maintain the facility in a tour-ready condition
  • Assist with capital project planning and execution
  • Support operations management in budgeting and strategic planning

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • At least four years of management experience
  • Two years of experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of quality concepts like SPC, TQM, JIT, and quality systems such as ISO 9000 and Six Sigma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively
