Job Description

Overview

Transdev is hiring a Utility Worker in Elmira, NY, responsible for performing basic vehicle servicing duties in a safe and customer-service-oriented environment. The role requires keeping fleet vehicles clean and conducting light maintenance while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform light duty repairs
  • Conduct general garage maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness of fleet vehicles (interior and exterior)
  • Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
  • Fuel buses and replenish fluids, logging all fluid records
  • Download drive cameras and probe fare boxes
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas and fueling stations
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Other duties as required

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement (training provided)
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
  • Knowledge of safety awareness
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and shifts
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and withstand varying outdoor conditions
