Overview

Transdev is hiring a Utility Worker/Service Employee in Elmira, NY, responsible for performing basic vehicle servicing duties with a focus on safety and customer service. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness of fleet vehicles and assisting with general garage maintenance.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform light duty repairs
  • Maintain cleanliness of fleet vehicles - interior and exterior
  • Drive, maneuver, and park vehicles
  • Fuel buses and replenish fluids, logging all fluids
  • Download drive cameras and probes fare boxes
  • Perform light maintenance to shop areas and fueling stations
  • Report maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Complete other duties as required

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years
  • Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement (training provided)
  • Ability to work shifts or flexible schedules
  • Safety awareness
  • Vehicle maintenance skills
  • Customer service skills
