Overview

We are looking for a US Customs Analyst who will report to the US Coordinator and be responsible for supporting U.S. import and export operations while serving as a key liaison with customs brokers, government agencies, and internal stakeholders. In this role, you will support BRP's U.S. customs compliance program by facilitating the continuous flow of goods while ensuring adherence to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements. You will play an integral role in delivering BRP products to global markets efficiently and compliantly.YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Analyze import and export documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal policies.Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, Partner Government Agencies (PGAs), and internal business partners to support timely customs clearance.Review imports for compliance with applicable PGA requirements, including but not limited to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other government agency regulations applicable to BRP products.Identify and resolve customs clearance issues, PGA holds, examinations, and documentation discrepancies.Maintain accurate customs databases, product master data, compliance records, clearance instructions, and supplier information.Monitor customs broker performance and ensure customs entries are filed accurately and timely.Create, maintain, and update internal and external customs compliance procedures and work instructions.Assist in conducting internal customs compliance audits and support corrective action implementation when required.Highlight, review, and support BRP's internal and external requirements regarding U.S. importation and exportation.Partner with the US Coordinator to identify cost-saving opportunities related to customs duties, brokerage activities, and trade compliance processes.Act as the primary point of contact for customs-related matters supporting distribution center operations.Monitor regulatory changes affecting U.S. imports and exports and communicate operational impacts to stakeholders.Support government inquiries, customs requests, post-entry activities, and customs compliance initiatives.YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:3-5 years of experience in global trade services, including customs clearance, import/export operations and customs compliance.Working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements.Experience managing customs broker relationships and resolving clearance-related issues.Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment while managing multiple priorities.Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.Experience analyzing trade data and preparing compliance-related reports.Knowledge of customs documentation requirements ACKNOWLEDGING THE POWER OF DIVERSITYBRP is dedicated to nurturing a culture that invites, connects, and propels the ambitions of people of all backgrounds, profiles, beliefs and experiences.
