The U.S. Army Chaplain - RA and USAR role involves serving the spiritual health of Soldiers and their families. The Chaplain Corps is integral to the morale and readiness of the Army, requiring individuals who can provide religious leadership across various units and environments, whether in active duty or reserve capacities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to Soldiers and their families
  • Represent diverse faith traditions within the Army
  • Serve in various capacities including training, operations, and community ministries
  • Support the mental and emotional well-being of Soldiers through ethical and spiritual leadership
  • Engage in community outreach and crisis intervention efforts

  • Basic theological education (72 hours or more)
